Trinity's Alumni 5K Troll Trot! "Trolls are Real!"

On Sat some of my very gracious supporters joined me for the 5K Troll Trot in Palos Hts. We were quite lucky out there bc on Sat it rained where I'm from and when I left to meet up with them that morning I was very nervous that it was raining there. And even though I enjoy running in the rain, it was cold outside already and then being wet on top of that...just didn't sound like fun to me. However, when I arrived at Trinity it was sunny out. Still kinda cold but I knew once we got going that I would no longer have that chill in my bones! :) Let me introduce my fellow Troll Trotters.

Daddy Z. joined us too! This crew has been among the many big supporters of mine since I announced that I was going to participate in this years Marathon back in April or was it May (man how time flies). I remember Alek telling me the one day when I said..."oh man I still gotta go do my miles tonight...I'm soooo tired!" all he had to say was "YOU JUST GOTTA GO DO IT KERRI!" and I was speechless. This lil guy just put me in my place....it was refreshening, he meant it & it truly was sincere! Plus, I really just needed to go do it! I knew once I got it in I'd feel better about the day...so that's what I did...Afterall, the 10 yr old (then) told me I had to! I told him thank you back then! but just wanted to say THANK YOU again Alek!
Alek also said to tell everyone on my blog that we came in first place on Sat. So world....we came in 1st place at the Troll Trot! (even tho we didn't!) sorry A! It's ok that we didn't...we had fun! There will be plenty of more races for us to come in first in....especially for you guys since your just getting into cross country and track now! You'll see many a first places in your future! For me right now...it's just about finishing the race! :0) Great work out there though! Way to stay positive and have fun while doing so!
Overall, the 5K went well and I was glad to have the crew out there going it with me! so THANK YOU GUYS FOR COMING OUT AND DOING IT WITH ME!

All I have to say is that TROLLS ARE REAL!
